Since June 2013, FIELDS CORPORATION employees with a strong sense of volunteerism have initiated grass-roots campaigns to collect PET bottle caps and used stamps. To increase the good they are doing, FIELDS CORPORATION Group is taking their effort Group Company-wide.
PET bottle caps collected from June 2013 to March 2017 totaled approximately 464,000 translating into approximately 640 individual doses of polio vaccine. 3.1 kilograms of used stamps were also collected.
The PET bottle caps and used stamps that we collect are used to support international medical care (in the form of vaccines), lifestyle improvements and education through various non-profit organizations.

FIELDS CORPORATION Group will continue to implement a variety of activities that contribute to local communities and protect the environment.

FIELDS CORPORATION Group supports RICOH JAPAN Corporation’s activities to help universities become more global, and collaborated in organizing a study tour for students to learn about Japanese universities and companies.
On March 10, 2017, six students from the University of Hong Kong visited “Opakis,” the motion capture studio of Digital Frontier Inc., a FIELDS CORPORATION Group company, as part of a program of company visits.
As part of the tour, the students tried on special suits used in motion capture to experience the role of an actor, and operated the virtual camera to learn about the work of camera operators. They were able to learn how computer-generated footage is produced from the movement of real people. All of the students showed great interest in the motion capture technology and equipment, and enjoyed their one hour visit.

FIELDS hopes to collaborate with more companies in the future, continuing to conduct various activities that make a contribution to society.

The UTRAMAN FOUNDATION had ULTRAMAN ORB, Ultraman X, and actor Kensuke Takahashi (who is Agent Ozora Daichi in “Ultraman X”) visit three medical facilities in Miyagi prefecture (Tohoku University Hospital, MIYAGI CHILDREN‘S HOSPITAL, and Ronald McDonald House Sendai) and two educational facilities in neighboring Fukushima prefecture (Kusano-Iitoi Kindergarten and Katsurao Kindergarten) over a two-day period from Sunday March 12, 2017. The visitors were keen to bring smiles to the children.

On the Sunday, the visitors played and otherwise mixed with the children at the Tohoku University Hospital, singing songs and folding origami. At the Miyagi Children’s Hospital, a pleasant time was had by all, with Takahashi showing the children how to perform Ultraman Calisthenics, among other things.
The team subsequently visited Ronald McDonald House Sendai, an accommodation facility for sick children and their families. The children there and from the nearby hospitals and members of their families took part in Ultraman Calisthenics. In all of the places they visited, the hero characters took commemorative photographs with and energized the children. On Monday March 13, visits were made to the Kusano-Iitoi Kindergarten and the Katsurao Kindergarten for the sake of children in Fukushima prefecture who still have to live away from their homes on account of the Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear disaster. The children were brimming with energy. They welcomed the Ultraman hero characters with thunderous applause and cheers. After playing the Janken Densha game and doing the Ultraman Calisthenics together, the visitors gave a high-five to each of the children. It was an opportunity for both sides to energize the other.

For most of the children, it was the first time for them to view the Ultra heroes up close. They were a little timid at first, but they were all smiles in the course of the calisthenics and games. When it was time for the visitors to go, the children cheerfully mentioned how much fun it had been.

The ULTRAMAN FOUNDATION pledges to continue these activities in hopes of bettering the futures of children.
